On our recent weekend getaway to Seattle and Leavenworth I noticed a decided theme: Pistachio. I enjoyed a Pistachio Macaron at La Panier at Pike Place Market and Pistachio Gelato at La Vita Dolce in Leavenworth, WA. I was tickled to find Pistachio Fudge at The Fudge Hut on front street in Leavenworth.
On a recent visit to the espresso stand where Kaarin is working, at her suggestion, I tried a pistachio/shortbread flavored granita. It was very tasty.
Of course my favorite color has always been green. I'm sensing a theme here.
