I spent all of one Sunday last fall making and photographing this pie. I had a photo assignment on another website. The assignment parameters were: Autumn. This still life idea came to mind. I loved throwing myself into it. I hadn't made a pie in awhile and wanted it to look perfect, and to taste as good as it looked. After all, this pie's for eating, not just looking at.
